  • Displays, prepares and provides reports including, however not limited to, Medical Record Delinquency Rates, Medical Pertinence, H & P Compliance, Operative Note Compliance
  • Develops and delivers education to horizontal and vertical audiences on coding and charge capture.

EDUCATION:

  • AHIMA or AAPC Qualifications
  • Associates degree in appropriate field chosen or mix of equivalent of education and experience

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 2 years related experience.
  • Must be detail oriented and have the capability to work independently
  • Computer understanding of MS Office
  • Substantial knowledge of medical record documentation requirements mandated by Medical Staff Bylaws, Guidelines and Regulations
  • State and federal policies concerning client confidentiality
  • Exceptional verbal/written interaction and social skills
  • Thorough/detailed knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding systems
  • Competent in developing and writing analytical reports
  • Proficient in performing quality assessment/analysis
  • Need to show outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of illness pathophysiology and drug utilization
  • Knowledge of MSDRG classification and compensation structures
  • Knowledge of APC, OCE, NCCI classification and repayment structures
