I had no job. I was at a crossroads in my life. I hope by sharing my story with all of you that it will help you as well.
These programs are designed to help the citizens of local economies. By having higher trained workers, it helps the local economy and keeps the unemployment rate lower.
Medical billing and coding is something that you can also study and learn on your own. Debt free. You just have to pay to take your exam and any other applicable fees.
There are certifications that are “beginner” or “entry level’
American Health Information Management Association’s CCA or Certified Coding Associate credential is entry level. This is a viable credential and there are plenty of employers that accept this. American Academy of Professional Coder’s CPC or the Certified Professional Coder -Apprentice is the entry level credential. They have certain requirements for removal of the Apprentice status that must be met. More information about that is on their website.
