This position will support the our offices with management and administrative tasks including Insurance Verifications, Authorizations, Patient Questions and other Billing inquires and task. This individual must be flexible with their schedule, efficiently multitask, and be driven to provide outstanding customer service.

Under the general supervision of Corporate Management and the Site Director, this position will oversee all tasks involving Client communication (email, phone, written), assisting the site with any supplies orders, basic office trouble shooting (jammed copier or notify building maintenance of repairs needed etc.) Insurance Verifications, Authorizations, Patient Interactions and all other Billing inquiries. This role will focus on the timely and accurate attention to all administrative tasks as a lead for all locations. Additionally, billing processing, following up with client billing encounters, and establishing and maintaining constant communication with insurance companies, providers and patients.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • All office administrative tasks – Phones, Filing, email, etc.
  • Manage ordering supplies as needed across all locations
  • Minor office trouble shooting of machines and point of contact to Building for Maintenance
  • Work with our online software and billing company regarding billing inquiries
  • Knowledge of the process for verification of Insurances and Authorizations for patient visits to serve as a back up for Admins
  • Communicate with Insurances and Billing Company regarding Patient Issues and Tasks
  • Answer and Assist with questions from Patients regarding Statements and Billing Items
  • Accurately enter charges and payments from Insurances and Patients
  • Multi-tasking of job tasks and responsibilities with the ability to complete in an expected time frame
  • Follows up and reviews daily reports and proactively communicates with staff regarding patients plan of care and the need for a prescription, authorization, referral, or precertification to ensure there are no delays with patient care

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience with EMR and Scheduling Software.
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting (hospital or therapy clinic specifically pediatrics) with an understanding of medical billing practices and medical terminology
  • Great customer service / relations experience skills
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Superficial knowledge of the reasons for patient care including physiology, anatomy, and neurology is helpful, but not required
  • Accurately and Efficiently uses technology in the office, and any software required.
  • Willing to work under direction and take instructions and corrections; ability to reason, to remember names; details of instructions; must be alert, adaptable, and flexible
  • Experience using G-Suite product (i.e. Google Docs, Gmail, Calendar)
  • High school graduate or equivalent
