ROME (AP)– Italian authorities will soon authorize an experiment with “COVID evaluated” flights from 3 U.S. airports with the objective of removing the needed 14- day quarantine for guests getting here in Italy, Rome’s main airport stated Thursday.

ADR, which runs Leonardo da Vinci Airport, said that similar “COVID evaluated” corridors were also expected to be authorized for flights between the airport and the German cities of Munich and Frankfurt.

In contrast with the ADR declaration, Delta said testing would be threefold: Guests would be tested up to 72 hours before departure; a quick test would carried out at the airport in Atlanta; and another fast test administered upon arrival in Rome.
