Job Summary
This project will work with the project team and originating sites to identify billing and coding trends and assist in determining how to improve practices under a telehealth model. Responsible for timely and accurate coding and/or abstracting of all outpatient services or inpatient non-DRG medical records. The Coder III position requires expert knowledge in C PT and ICD-10-CM coding.

Education
Required: High School Diploma and 3+ years of relevant experience
Preferred: Associate of Arts in Billing/Coding

Skills
Must have the analytical ability to interpret data contained in medical records and assign appropriate codes for accurate reimbursement.
Expert knowledge in C PT (Outpatient Coding), IC D-10-PCS (Inpatient oding) and IC D-10-C M (Inpatient and Outpatient Coding) classification systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and concepts effectively
Demonstrates competency with use of computers and various computer programs
Visual acuity necessary to read and decipher handwriting and electronic documentation.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Required: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC-A, CPC , COC , or CIC
