Position Summary:

Accountable for completing quality guarantee audits on:

• Inpatient coding professionals, onboarding audits and training of recently worked with coding experts, confirming the coding expert is properly abstracting data into medical record systems, following the Authorities

Verifies Present on Admission (POA) indicators according to AHA POA guidelines and identifies any missing or inappropriate inquiries to suppliers Outpatient coding specialists, onboarding audits and training of recently worked with coding professionals, verifying the coding expert is accurately abstracting data into medical record systems, following the Authorities ICD-10- CM coding standards and pertinent federal regulations utilizing present CPT-4, HCPCS II, and ICD-10 CM products, the Federal Register, CMS and other significant products.

One year of Inpatient or Outpatient Coding experience.

Three years Audit Experience

RHIT (Registered Health Information Service Technician (AHIMA) or CCS (Licensed Coding Expert (AHIMA) Certifications needed
